When you hear the name Mitchelle Nyawira Gichuki, better known as Gichuki, you immediately think of ambition, creativity, and authenticity. A final-year diploma student in project management, Gichuki has carved her path in the digital space as a beauty and lifestyle content creator, public speaker, and entrepreneur. Her journey is more than just makeup tutorials and public talks, it is about breaking barriers, embracing authenticity, and inspiring others to believe in their unique stories.

From Passion to Purpose

Gichuki’s entry into content creation began in 2020, a year when many turned to the internet for connection and expression. For her, makeup and hair tutorials were not just hobbies, they were ways of bringing ideas to life and sharing them with the world. Alongside this, her love for public speaking traces back to high school debate competitions where she first discovered her confidence and voice.

“My motivation comes from the joy of filming, bringing an idea to life, and watching it succeed,” she says. “That process excites me every time.”

Navigating Challenges with Consistency

Like many creators starting out, one of her biggest challenges was building a relatable community. “It was difficult at first, especially being new in the industry, but I learned that consistency is the key,” she reflects. Staying true to her craft and showing up even during tough times helped her steadily grow an audience that connects with her journey.

Beauty Beyond the Surface

For Gichuki, beauty has evolved into something much deeper than physical appearance. “When I was younger, I thought beauty was about fitting into society’s definition of ideal,” she shares. “Over time, I realized true beauty is about authenticity, kindness, and confidence. It is about energy, presence, and how someone makes others feel.”

This shift in perspective not only shaped her personal growth but also transformed the way she approaches her work as a creator and speaker.

The Power of Self Care and Wellness

Balancing content creation, studies, and entrepreneurship requires intention, and for Gichuki, self-care is non-negotiable. “Good health and wellness are the foundation of a successful career. What I do revolves around it, so I make it a priority,” she explains. Her skincare essentials are simple yet powerful, sunscreen and regular exfoliation.

“You can forget everything else, but never sunscreen,” she emphasizes. “It is a must for healthy, glowing skin.”

Advice for the Next Generation

Asked what advice she would give to aspiring creators and young women, Gichuki does not hesitate:

  • Trust your journey. Confidence comes through experiences, failures, and growth.
  • Do not shrink yourself. Take up space, speak up, and pursue what excites you.
  • Build uplifting circles. Surround yourself with people who inspire and support you.
  • Avoid comparisons. Everyone’s timeline is different, and that is okay.
  • Embrace authenticity. Believe that you are enough and that your voice matters.

“The more you embrace who you are, the more unstoppable you become,” she says with conviction.

Mane Master: A Vision for the Future

Beyond content creation, Gichuki is also the founder of Mane Master, a natural hairline company she launched while still in school. With graduation around the corner, she plans to fully focus on expanding the brand, introducing new products, and growing her personal brand to reach a wider audience.

Her journey is only just beginning, but her ambition, discipline, and passion ensure that her future in beauty, lifestyle, and entrepreneurship will be as vibrant as the content she creates.
