Introduction: Meet Chloe Nuelle

Hello! My full name is Chloe Nuelle Kellermann, but I go by Chloe Nuelle. My mom calls me Palony as a nickname in our native language, Afrikaans. I work in Human Resources (HR) and have also been an influencer for the past 7 years.

Starting My Journey

I began my influencing journey because I’ve always been a curvy girl, and society hasn’t always been kind to curvy women. At 21, I was working as a lifeguard on the beach, fit and curvy, and decided to challenge beauty standards by posting pictures on Instagram. My goal was to show that healthy bodies come in many sizes—my body was saving lives!

Overcoming Challenges

“Not everyone has an open mind, and that’s okay. Learning to accept that is part of overcoming challenges.”

One of the biggest challenges has been dealing with people who oppose the idea that there are multiple healthy body types. I’ve learned that not everyone will agree with my views, but by shifting my perspective, I’ve found peace with that reality and can continue promoting body positivity.

Prioritizing Self-Care

No matter how long or demanding my day is, I always fit in something physical, like a gym class, a walk, or a swim, even if it’s just for 10 minutes. Afterward, I relax by watching an episode of my favorite series or reading a book. Self-care is non-negotiable in my schedule.

The Meaning of Beauty

To me, beauty is about having a kind heart and loving others. Growing up, I used to think beauty was all about appearances, but now I know it’s about what’s on the inside. My relationship with beauty has evolved as I’ve learned to focus on how people make others feel.

Advice for Young Women

Don’t let anyone or anything stop you. Surround yourself with like-minded people who uplift you, and don’t let small-minded opinions deter you from chasing your dreams. Beauty comes from within, and you are wonderfully made—remind yourself of that daily.

Go-To Skincare Tips

One of the best tips I can give isn’t a product but a practice: drink plenty of water. I personally drink up to 3 liters a day. Staying hydrated helps cleanse the body and keeps my skin glowing. I also love salicylic serums for blemish control.

What’s Next for Me?

In my HR career, I’m aiming for a promotion, and as an influencer, I’m looking forward to collaborating with another major brand and pursuing motivational speaking. There are exciting things ahead, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds!
