My Inspiration for Makeup Artistry
My love for beauty and makeup started as a child, watching my mum get ready each day. She was my inspiration and superwoman.
As a teenager, makeup became my confidence booster, and I soon realized I had a natural talent for it, even without formal training. About a decade ago, I started doing makeup for friends and family, and my unique, balanced approach helped me stand out. I took a chance, and I haven’t looked back since!
Overcoming Challenges
“There’s a saying, ‘cheap is expensive,’ and it couldn’t be truer in makeup artistry.”
My main challenges were pricing and the availability of quality products locally. Setting high standards meant some clients didn’t understand the value of my work at first. However, through persistence and showcasing my quality service, clients began to see the difference.
Now, I’m blessed with supportive clients who understand and appreciate what I bring to the table.
Balancing Work, Wellness, and Personal Life
For a long time, my passion for makeup took precedence over self-care. But when physical pain from long hours caught up with me, I knew I had to make changes.
I now prioritize the gym and Pilates to keep my body strong. Balancing personal life is tricky due to weekend-heavy schedules, but my incredible support system helps me stay grounded and ensures I don’t miss out on life’s important moments.
What Beauty Means to Me
Beauty is loving yourself and being kind. No makeup can mask inner ugliness. As a child, I thought beauty was all about appearances. Now, I believe it’s about how you make others feel and the kindness you extend to those around you.
Advice for Aspiring Makeup Artists and Entrepreneurs
GO FOR IT! It’s better to try and fail than to live with the regret of “what if.” Every failure is a step closer to success.
Believe in yourself. Success doesn’t come easy, but if you’re willing to work for it, you can achieve anything. Don’t be afraid to change paths if something isn’t working—just keep going!

SPF is essential! I also believe in regular facials to maintain healthy skin. My go-to product is Vaseline—it’s been a game-changer for maintaining my skin’s moisture barrier.

Last year, I started offering professional makeup classes to share the knowledge I’ve gained over the years. This is a big focus for me now, and I’m excited to help other young artists grow and succeed in the industry.
